BP4_Creaza

Web 2.0 tools
www.Creaza.com

I registered for a free Creaza.com account. The site is like a social community where the users of all ages can create a profile and content like video, comics, audio, and mind maps. It is like a creative groups dream social network. I decided to use this web 2.0 tool because I am currently working on a photography / video project with a local artist  and this site has the potential to be a great tool for us. The person I am collaborating with wants to take part in the video editing process very badly. I am using imovie on my Mac and she is investigating video editing software for her PC. If both of us decide to use Creaza.com we could collaborate cross platform online. The video editing software is easy to use, I had a 19 second video made in 1 minute. It seems to be lacking some of the neat tools and effects iMovie has, but most of the content we will be creating will be original. I am looking into the software now to see if we can add our own transitions, or what comes with the premium subscription which is not free. So far I like what I see on Creaza.com...I will keep you posted on the usefulness of the tool.

Some of the great features of Creaza MovieEditor include being able to upload any type of video format and work with it in the software and you can export to your favorite media player or directly to YouTube or Facebook.

  1. Hi Annie,

Seems like Creaza.com is a great web 2.0 tool. I've always had a special interest in becoming a videographer. Back in the day I would sit with my video camera plugged in and my VHS tape in the VCR ready to record, edit, and add music. It is unbelievable how far we've come. I really like how with this program you can share material and edit and directly upload to your favorite video sharing websites. Perfect for last minute editing anywhere, at anytime. Good luck with your artwork and photography and keep me posted on how everything works out for you.

P.S. Great blog site... I really like your WOODLE words LOGO!!!

    Your friend,

  2. Hey! Creaza.com sounds great! I have actually been looking for a cross platform video editing software myself. My school is all PC and obviously I have a Mac, so sometimes it gets complicated working at home on things the kids are working on at school. Do you save online? Is it pretty easily accessible and user friendly? Thank you for sharing!

  3. Annie,

Creaza looks really awesome. I like the simplicity of the site, but at the same time it seems to have a wide variety of features. Being able to work collaboratively on multimedia projects is a great feature. I can see students, classes, teachers, and creative professionals finding imaginative ways to implement it's features to get the most out of their projects. I work with multiple schools and I could easily see this being helpful when they want to create a movie across multiple locations. I also like how the site is designed, easy to use interface and very simple layout. Great find!

    Thanks,
    Jim
